Poet (b. 7 December 1919, Istanbul - d. 17 March 1978, Ankara). After receiving elementary education at Istanbul Istiklal High School and Ankara Gazi High School (1938) he completed his studies at Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine (1944). He worked as a doctor at Ankara Numune Hospital, Turhal Sugar Factory (1948), the General Directorate of the Ankara Sugar Factory (1959) and the Etimesgut Sugar Factory.

He is famous for his poems, essays and radio broadcasts. Beginning in 1938, his poems were published in the reviews Inkilapçi Gençlik, Yücel, Ülkü, Millet, Istanbul and after 1930, in Varlik, Yön, Ataç, Papirüs, Türk Dili, Yansima. He collected the Turkish Language Association Essay Award in 1965 for Köy Ögretmenine Mektuplar (Letters to the Teacher of the Village) and the Behçet Kemal Çaglar Poetry Award in 1970 for his book Sakarya Meydan Savaþi (Sakarya War).
