He was apparently divorced from Annie as she was married to someone else when Lorenzo died. Lorenzo and Annie had one known child, Frank Dow Bixby born Aug 1864 in Illinois. Frank married Carrie Cudney and they had one son, Dow Frank Bixby who died in 1976.
Lorenzo was found dead in the yard at the rear of 4125 Emerald Ave. A coroner's inquest determined he died of acute congestion of the brain membranes. The injuries he suffered were deemed to be accidental due to a fall or were otherwise unknown.
