Abbie Lee Bailey, 91, of Denton died Fri, Nov 28, 2008 at Presbyterian Hosp. She was bn Jan 24, 1917 in Sanger to Albert L Gentle & Alma Dickens Gentle. She graduated frm Sanger High Schl in 1934 & married O H "Stuffy" Bailey on Dec 24, 1938.
Abbie was a charter memb of the Am Business Women's Assoc & retired in 1981 frm J C Penny Co after 30 yrs of service.
She is survived by 1 dau, Janis Wetherbee of Denton & 1 son Billy Bob Bailey of Denton. She is also survived by 5 grands; Bret Garrett of Denton, Kelli Diers & husb Erik of Houston, Jennifer Berry of Denton, Andy Shea & wife Laurie of Anna, Michael Phillips & wife Gaina of Milam, TX. Mrs Bailey is also survived by 9 great grands. She is preceded in death by her husb & parents.
The family will be at the funeral hm Sun evening from 4 pm to 6:00 pm for visit. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Mon in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors w Rev Cliff Feeler officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Mem'l Prk.
Pallbearers will be Erik Diers of Houston, Devin Garrett of Keller, Gerald Cardwell of Denton, Chris Cardwell of Euless, Greg Cardwell of Arlington & Gerry Cardwell of Murphy.
