Mr. Ralph H. Alley, 70, of RR5 Tyrone, died Sunday morning, May 22, 2005 at his home. He was born March 19, 1935 in Antis Township, a son of the late Irvin B. and Pearl A. (Caldwell) Alley. Mr. Alley is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delores L. (Hockenberry) Alley; daughters: Donna L. Cherry and husband Ralph of Tyrone RR5 and Tracie L. Alley of Tyrone; five grandchildren; brothers: Irvin B., Jr. of Metairie, LA, Paul M. of Charlottesville and Michael H. of Amissville, VA; sisters: Gloria A. Byrd of Hialeah, FL, Norma L. Knight of Charlottesville and Erma P. Wilson of Mentor, OH. He was preceded in death by a son Terry L. in 1993. Mr. Alley retired in 1997 as a finishing room foreman at Westvaco, Tyrone. He was a member of the Faith Alliance Church, Fuoss Mills. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening and yard sales. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of funeral service Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Pastor Richard A. Wood, Jr. officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Alliance Church, RR5 Box 68, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
