Chester Adams Sr. age 85, of Russellville died Wednesday, December 31, 1986 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a retired farmer, son of the late Samuel and Eskie Foy Adams and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Parry Adams of Russellville; six sons, Edward Adams of Chico, Calif., Edwin Adams of Little Rock, Eugene Adams of Redwood Valley, Calif., Beecher Adams of Dardanelle, Chester Adams Jr. of Russellville and Finis Adams of Florence, Ore.; four daughters, Mable Greenhaw of Florence, Ore., Gertrude Knox of New Caney, Texas, Frankie Dean of Fayetteville and Louise Wells of Russellville, a brother, Roy Lurton and three sisters, Lena Davis and Stella Freeman of Dover and Lillie Woodard of Rolston, Okla.
Funeral will be at 10 a. m. Monday at Humphrey Chapel by Lester Chisum. Burial will be at Self Cemetery near Lurton. Active pallbearers are his grandsons, Jeffery Adams, Rodney Adams, Johnnie Dean, Kenny Dean, Larry Wells and Jimmy Davis. Family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p. m. at Humphrey Funeral Home.
