HAMPTON - Carolyn Brock Alston was born on Dec. 13, 1950, and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at her home. She is the daughter of the late Willie J. Brock and Elfrea Brock of Virginia Beach, Va. She attended school in the city of Virginia Beach and was employed by Hampton Sentara CarePlex for over 17 years.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Michael Brock.
She leaves to cherish two daughters, Wanda Alston-Riley and Candace Alston of Hampton, Va.; former husband, Michael D. Alston of Hampton, Va.; mother, Elfrea Brock of Virginia Beach, Va.; one sister, Patricia Joyner (Jesse) of Virginia Beach, Va.; five brothers, Willie Brock Jr. (Jonnie) of Ruther Glen, Va., Beverly Brock of Virginia Beach, Va., Dan Brock (Ronnie) of Falls Church, Va., Leevonne Brock of Virginia Beach, Va., and Charles Brock of Woodbridge, Va.; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the funeral home. A Homegoing Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Church of Jesus, 630 Anderson Lane, Hampton, Va. Interment to follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
