Funeral services for Terry Elder, 61, English, formerly of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. today, Saturday, Aug. 9, at Denbo Funeral Home, English. He died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. He was a past employee of the City of New Albany for many years. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Joyce; son, Robert Elder, Taswell; daughter, Melissa Dixon, New Albany; brothers, Jesse and Tim, both of New Albany and William, Clarksville; and half-sister, Becky, New Washington. He was extremely loved by his grandchildren, Kristie, Brittany and Brianna Dixon, New Albany, Dakota, Cheyenne Holcomb and Sierra Elder, Taswell; and great-granddaughter, Bailey Culbertson. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Doris J. Turner, his Father, Jesse L. Elder, and a half brother, Darrell Elder.
