Thelma Bea Alston, 70, of Midwest City, OK, passed away on April 18, 2010. She was born January 9, 1940 in Ozark, AR to Dan Alston and Beatrice Shepard Alston. Thelma was a retired social worker. She worked in the Department of Human Services for the State of Oklahoma for over 32 years. Thelma loved sewing, reading, cooking, gardening, Bible Study, and most of all helping others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan & Bea Alston and 2 siblings. Survivors include 1 daughter, Sherri Alston Bates and husband Tony; 1 niece, Vickie Alston; 1 nephew, Dan and his wife Dawn Alston and their children, Matthew and Dalton Alston; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK with burial following in Arlington Memory Gardens.
