Obituary – Gary Robert Anderson

Gary Robert Anderson, Galena, MO, son of Lester and Hilma (Saari) Anderson was born September 27, 1951 in Stambaugh, MI and departed this life October 21, 2010, at his home, at the age of 59.

Gary was united in marriage to Joanne Douglas on July 19, 1980 and they had made their home in the area the past 7 years coming from Grayslake, IL. He had worked as an engineer for Schweitzer Manufacturing Company. Gary was a member of the Missouri Master Gardeners and the Stone County Fire Protection District Auxiliary.

Survivors include: his wife, Joanne of the home; one brother, Earl Sande of Madison, WI; two sisters, Elaine Kumkowski of Downers Grove, IL and Sandra Greig of Iron River, MI and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Stumpff Chapel-South, Kimberling City with Jerry Jenkins officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society.
