Mabel (mom) Bailey, 95, a long-time El Dorado resident, died Saturday night at a local nursing home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.

She was born Oct. 17, 1887 at Codel, Kan., the daughter of Jacob and Ada Dillon Randall. She married Charles E. Bailey on Oct. 5, 1904 at Oregon, Mo. They farmed in Missouri from 1930 to 1934. They then returned to Butler County, and she has made her home here ever since that time.

She was a homemaker, but also she and her husband ran the filling station and cafe at Pickrell Corner for several years. She also ran a cafe at Rosalia for a year. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First Christian Church; Circle 7 of the church; the Golden Age Club; and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Charles A., Salina, H. H. and W.I., both of El Dorado; three daughters, Grace Robertson, Douglass; Susan Hall and Tiny Malan, both of El Dorado; a brother, Joe Randall, Council Bluff, Iowa; four sisters, Estella Montgomery, Fontana, Calif.; Iva Burton, Bartlesville, Okla.; Evelyn Stratton and Helen McGoyne, both of Olympia, Wash.; 24 grandchilren; 85 great-grandchildren and 41 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on Jan. 4, 1963; her parents, and two sons.
