Nelda Adamson, age 65, of Milford, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at her home.
She was born December 25, 1940 in Denton, Texas to James and Catherine
(Applebee) Matthews.
Nelda graduated from Waxahachie High School, and on May 6, 1957 she married Bobby Allen Adamson in Dallas.
She had been employed with WISD as an aide and nurse at Marvin and Northside schools.
She had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Milford for 7 years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Bob Adamson of Milford; four children, Bob Adamson Jr. and his wife, Laura of San Antonio, Lewis Adamson and his wife Melissa of Midlothian, Elizabeth Kitchens and her husband, Scott of Milford and Alex Adamson and his wife, Amber of Hewitt; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Eric, Jennifer, Bianca and Kyndal; one great grandchild, Josea; two sisters, Alva Sanderson of Forney and Ruby Creed of Garland and several nieces and nephews.
Nelda was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Milford with Reverend John Wheatley officiating.
Interment will follow at the Milford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.
