Mr. Crowley had been in the camp during a portion of each year since 1883, and was interested with Mr. P. C. McCann in several prospects in the district. He returned to the camp only a few weeks since, and had secured employment as engineer at the Magna Charta tunnel. One of the coldest days last week he attempted to make some repairs on the boiler, and contracted a severe cold. He did not go to bed until Saturday evening, and was not considered to be seriously ill until Tuesday night, when he commenced sinking rapidly and in less than twenty-four hours had passed from life into the darkness of eternity.

Deceased was an intelligent, free-hearted gentleman, and had not an enemy in the district. Messrs. Campbell, Smith, Wood, Bodey, McCann, and others took charge of the remains, and yesterday afternoon the body of Albert Crowley was buried in the cemetery with appropriate ceremonies.
