"Mrs. Fannie Adams, 83 years old, widow of W. C. Adams, lifelong resident of the Atherton, Mo., community, died yesterday at her home, 3820 Walnut street.

She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Jess Ann Hall and Miss Ruth Adams of the home, and Mrs. Joseph F. Harbin of Independence; three sons, J. W. Adams of Atherton, John Quincy Adams of Los Angeles, and George C. Adams of Chicago; two stepdaughters, Mrs. T. C. Horan of Amarillo, Tex., and Mrs. F. B. Hall of Jefferson City; two sisters, Mrs. J. N. Anderson of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Arthur Jones of Independence; and three brothers, J. F. Samples of Independence, Charles H. Samples of Denver and George B. Samples of Glendale, Ariz.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday at the Ott & Mitchell chapel, Independence." The Kansas City Star, February 11, 1941
