The remains of George C. Adamson, who passed away from this life in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday, November 24 were brought to this city and laid away in the family lot in Mount Olivet cemetery Friday morning. Mr. Adamson was born in Mason county Kentucky on July 4, 1826 and from there came West and located in Wellington in 1877 and here resided until the date of his death. He was married here on the 22 day of August, 1852 to Miss Martha J. Cundiff and to them seven children were born, four of which survive him, Mrs. Gertrude Civer, Miss Jennie and Messars Edwin and Elbert, with the mother all live in Kansas city. A faithful member of the M.E. church South and for the greater part of his stay here was a brother in good standing in Wellington Lodge I.O.O.F. but failed to unite with the order when moving to Kansas City. He was honest, upright and straightforward, and it may be well said, a good man has gone to receive the warm welcome of the Brethren in the great Fatherland above.
