Linda M. Baker, 55, of Morton, Ill., passed away at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria after a brief illness.
Linda was born on Aug. 13, 1958, in Peoria to Harold and Rosalie (Fischer) Baker.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her mother, Rosalie of Pekin; and sister, Diane (Len) LaLone of Pekin.
Linda was valedictorian of Green Valley High School in 1976.
She retired in 2012 from the Health Services Department at Illinois Central College.
She was a very active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton.
A service celebrating Linda's life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Bethel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Private burial will take place on Friday at Sand Prairie Cemetery near Green Valley, Ill. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with her arrangements.
