S/Sgt. Lester H Gay, son of Mr. and Mrs. V.O. Gay, husband of the former Virginia Croft, attended Marlow, Okla., schools. Entered the Army in Nov. 1942. Trained at Camp Carson, Colo. Went overseas in Jan., 1944. Served in Hawaii, Leyte and Mindanao. Awarded a Good conduct Metal, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with two battle stars, American Theatre, Philippines Liberation and Victory Ribbons. Was discharged in Jan. 1946.
