Mrs. Darlene Ann Alexander, age 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2012 surrounded by family. She was born in San Francisco, CA on May 20, 1942 to Glenn & Harriett Meinzer. Mrs. Alexander was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Grand Bay, AL. She enjoyed scrap-booking, sewing, and feeding the birds. Mrs. Alexander collected Victorian Dolls and loved spending time on her computer. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Alexander is preceded in death by her parents, and stepson, David Alexander, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, David Gerald Alexander, Sr.; three children, Glen Alan Cothran of Moss Point, Donna (Kevin) Thompson of Grand Bay, AL, and Ray Cothran of Moss Point; stepdaughters, Lisa Rene' (Raymond) Hollis of Troy, AL and Penny Alexander of Pascagoula; grandchildren, Kimberly Anne Cothran, Kaitlyn Nicole Cothran, Daniel (April) Thompson, and Erin Mae Thompson; and step-grandson Juan Carlos Alexander; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 28 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Grand Bay, AL. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. Celebrant of the Mass will be Father Anthony Kadavil. Burial will be on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in New Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ramsay Springs. Holder-Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
