Big Timber, Jan. 5 - Funeral services were conducted here recently for Samuel T. Bly, 72, who died at the Community hospital.

The Rev. H. S. Tool officiated. Pallbearers were D. P. Terland, Henry Hausermann, John McClurg, Ed Thompson, John Cammeron and Hans Omdahl.

Mr. Bly was born in Strasbourg, Va., Nov. 8, 1873. He came to Montana in 1906, settling first in the Gallatin valley where he operated a farm until 1914, when he moved to a ranch on Bridger Creek, about 18 miles east of Big Timber.

He is survived by his widow, who now lives at Manhattan; two sons, Bluferd, of this city, and Luther, who is in the navy at Pearl Harbor; a daughter, Mrs. D. G. Davis of Kirkland, Wash., and a brother and sister in Ohio.
