Charles Edward Bailey, 70, of Little Rock died Thursday (April 10, 2003).

Born Jan. 1, 1933, in Conway, he was the son of Toil and Ethel Smith Bailey. He was a retired United States Air Force Veteran and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Irmgard Bailey of Little Rock; three daughters, Ester E. Madison of Vilonia, Beverly Bailey Moore of Little Rock and Anna Marie Breyel of Brookhaven, Miss.; one son, Charles Edward Bailey Jr. of Benton; four sisters, Marie Fowler of Conway, Bernice Harris of Little Rock, Cilla Chandler and Patricia Paladino, both of Conway; one brother, Harold Dean Bailey of Conway; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services are 3 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Conway with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery with Mel Tindle officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
