Dr. Hugh Francis Armstrong, died at 8:30am today in St. Mary's Hospital following an illness of almost two years.
The 79 year old dentist had lived in Decatur 52 years and practiced in offices in the Standard Office building until his retirement two years ago.
Born June 10, 1873, in Apple River, Dr. Armstrong was the son of Thomas and Margaret Armstrong.
On Feb. 21, 1900, he was married to Gertrude Crawford in Decatur.
He leaves his wife, one daughter, Mrs Frances Six of Decatur, and a sister.
Requiem High Mass will be at 9am Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
