Rev, Ailken Bishop the son of Henry P and Francis Bishop, in Bethera S.C.Most of his child hood was spent in Cordesville S.C He work on the family farm, untill age of15yrs. he join the civillan convervaton corp{ ccc,camps}that sent him to washington State spent time in the army as a cheif, during world war 11.working for the Tipplett Bridge shop. contruction building bridges and rail road tresles. he spent 28 yrs at the charleston naval shipyard in the rigger shop. in 1953. he begen a small construction companyknow as BishopBuilders doing many repairs, remolding and additions, this company grewin repuation and volume, taking off into new construction buliding over the entire state S.C.he and brought the company tosuch a volume it ws noted to have the nost new construction starts in Charleston county in the year 1966.this ws a God geven talent for a young man with an eight grade eduaction. in the year of 1956 rev Bishopfelt strong to do more work for Gog.he ditrict ask him to start a pastorial ship while holding ministerial license of a small church in Mc.Clellanville S.C.in 1957. he was ordained by the the South Carolina District Council of th Assenbiles og God in may 1955.he servied as assingent pastor of North Charleston assembly of God for several years before becoming full time.his last church on remount rd. north charleston. he builed a new church, Calvery Cathedral in 1997. the church is sill operation, under new life assenbly. he had retired 1986. Rev bishop is survided by his wife Maxne , daughter BrendaWillams, steve jr ,frank bishop three grandsons , also four grand children and seven great grandchildren.
