Emma E. Babbs Stowers 89, of Springfield died Thursday at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.
She was born April 15, 1907, in Springfield, the daughter of John and Carrie Welch Bramel. She married Donald E. Babbs; he preceded her in death in 1958. She then married Frank L. Stowers; he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Stowers, a member of Cherry Hills Baptist Church, was employed by the City of Springfield, treasurer's office.
Survivors: four grandchildren, Robert E., Donald E., Thomas L., and Debra J. Patterson, all of Springfield; and three great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Bisch and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Gary Nelsen officiating. Burial: Grove City Cemetery, Mount Auburn.
