Frederick Hope Beaver Jr. was born 05 Sep 1894. When he registered for the WWI draft in May 1917, he was 23 and single. He was described as tall and slender with brown eyes and brown hair. He resided at the Beaver family home at 2525 Webster Street in San Francisco. Frederick, 27, was married in Marin County, California on 27 Sep 1921 to Anne Rodgers Dibblee, age 20 (born 01 Dec 1900).

Anne and Frederick had two sons, Frederick Hope Beaver III, born 21 Sep 1922, and James A. Beaver, born about 1928. Both boys were born in San Francisco. At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, Anne, 29, and Frederick, a 35 year-old stock salesman, were living in a home they rented at 148 Lyon Street, San Francisco. Anne and Frederick were divorced between 1930 and 1935, and Anne’s second marriage, to Arthur Ralph Mejia, took place before the 1940 Federal Census, at which time her sons Frederick III, 18, and James A. Beaver, 12, are counted with Anne and Arthur at 232 Maple Street in San Francisco. Arthur, born 28 Mar 1902, died in San Francisco in Aug 1979. Anne died in San Francisco 29 Dec 1988.

Frederick’s second marriage was on 07 Feb 1935 to Mildred Bachynski. The marriage took place in Toronto, York County, Ontario, Canada. Frederick was a 40 year-old shoe dealer who was divorced, and Mildred was 21 and never married. When 48 year-old Frederick registered for the WWII draft in 1942, he resided at 28 Bank Street, New York City, and worked for Sperry Gyroscope at Bush Terminal in Brooklyn. He listed his sister, Isabel Cushing, at 2525 Webster Street, San Francisco as “the person who will always know your address.”

According to “Reports of Deaths of American Citizens Abroad, 1835-1974,” Frederick Jr. died at age 74 in Mexico on 20 Nov 1968. Cause of death is listed as “pulmonar infarct, acute cardiac insufficiency.” He was cremated and interred at the Pantheon Civil de Dolores Cemetery, Mexico D.F., Mexico. At the time of his death, he resided with his wife Mildred at Virginia Hernandez 14, Cuautla, Morelos, Mexico. Mildred, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on 21 Nov 1913, became a naturalized citizen in 1951 in Seattle, Washington. She died in June 1979 in San Francisco.
