Retired Railroad Employe Dies
Francis A. Allen, 73, of 3503 North Ave., a retired New York Central Railroad employee, died Friday (May 1, 1959) at a Buffalo hospital. He had been in ill health for the last year and hospitalized for the last five months.
A native of Albany, Mr. Allen lived in Niagara Falls for 49 years. Prior to his retirement in 1950 he had been employed by the New York Central Railroad as a storekeeper.
Survivors include two sons, Earl F. and Albert F. Allen; a daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Betty) Soluri, all of this city; two brothers, Earl Allen, Albany, and George B. Allen, Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. Clara A. Crone, Boston, Mass., and 11 grandchildren.
