Services for Fanny I. Allen of North Avenue will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.

The former Fanny Lingenfelter, 68, died Saturday (April 15, 1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.

She was born in Reynoldsville, Pa., and moved to Niagara Falls as a child.

Mrs. Allen worked for Spirella Co. and E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. for a short time. She played baseball in the women's baseball league for many years and was an avid bowler.

Her husband, Albert, died in 1990.

Survivors include three sons, James A. of Florence, S.C., Albert E. and William F.; two daughters, Diane S. Pegelow of Middleport and Denise F. Ortiz of Garland, Texas; her mother, Maude Lingenfelter Forsythe; five brothers, Boyd of Camden, N.J., Lester of Chicago, Merle, Richard and Bart; a sister, Elizabeth Fletcher; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
