Harry as he liked to be known,was one of two son's of Charles Cochrane and Majory McConnell.He married Annie gwendoline Williams on 28th July 1951 at St.Augustines Episcopal church,Dumbarton,Scotland.There were no children from this marriage.

He saw service in the Merchant Navy and in the second World War he was in the Army in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlander's regiment.He rose to the rank of Pipe major.His skill and expertise of the Bagpipes was Legendary.

In 1966 Harry and his wife Gwen moved south and settled in Catherington in Hampshire where they lived until they died.

Harry died on holiday in Scotland whilst staying with friends at Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond.

A good honest man who had a wealth of knowledge on scottish history and many other subjects.Always a happy joyful man with a smile and a story to tell.

Sadly missed by all those who knew and Loved him.
