Imogene Alexander
Imogene Alexander, 80, of Russellville, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Joe and Gertrude Woods Dunlap, she was born July 19,1927, in Yeager, Okla. She worked at Grace House for 15 years, where she was a mother to special needs adults. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Linnis, Billy, Leon and Preston Dunlap; three sisters, Pearl Dunlap, Letha Banta, and Margaret Mann.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Godsey and husband, Dennis, of Claremore, Okla., Letha Hern and husband, Rick, of Atkins, and Karen Yarbrough and husband, Larry, of Russellville; two sons, George Alexander of Mountain Home and David Alexander of Eufaula, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, Jonnie Mott and husband, Kenneth, of Catoosa, Okla., George Parrish of Baltimore, Md., Debbie Jordan and husband, Doug, of Claremore, Okla., Joshua Hern and wife, Amber, of Russellville, Sarah Tittle and husband, Clint, of Benton, Jason Yarbrough and wife, Jillian, of Spartanburg, S.C., Jacob Yarbrough and wife, Ashley, of Russellville, Chris Alexander of Russellville, Kayleigh Alexander of Dallas, Texas, Andrew Alexander of Mountain Home, Amanda Alexander and Amelia Alexander of Tulsa, Okla., Amy Alexander and Ethan Alexander of Eufaula, Okla. She was known as "The Great One" to 17 great-grandchildren.
Graveside memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at BREARLEY Cemetery in Dardanelle. Bro. David Bishop will officiate.
The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. Saturday following the service at the home of Karen Yarbrough.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
