Cecelia "Ceil" Abrohams died in Green Bay, Wi. of acute leukemia on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008. Born on Feb. 21, 1913, in Milwaukee to Golda and Jacob Dubin, she was the youngest of five children. After graduating from Shorewood High School, Ceil went on to work for the City of Milwaukee. In 1941, she married Abe Abrohams and moved to Green Bay where Abe, an attorney, continued in the family fur business.

Along with her husband, Ceil was an active member of Congregation Cnesses Israel and belonged to its Sisterhood and also to Hadassah. She served on the Board of the Children's Service Society for a number of years and helped fund the Ketogenic Diet program for pediatric epilepsy at St. Vincent Hospital. Ceil was known to be kind, considerate, warm and loving to her family, friends, neighbors and everyone who had contact with her. She was proud of attaining the age of 95 while living independently and took special pleasure in her beautiful garden.

Ceil is survived by her daughter Beth Onosko of Madison, her son and daughter-in-law Ben and Molly Abrohams of Milwaukee and her granddaughter Alison Abrohams of Los Angeles.

Preceding her in death were her husband Abe, her parents, her sisters Ann Barbara (Bobby) and Sarah, her brothers Frank and Mike and her son-in-law Tim Onosko.

Services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Leah Abrahams officiating. Interment will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park.

Contributions in Ceil's memory may be made to The Salvation Army, The American Cancer Society and The Charlie Foundation.
