Mrs. May Allison was born in Scotland in 1800 - died at her residence near Glade Spring Depot, Virginia, November 26th, 1863.
In the management of her domestic affairs, she had but few equals, and perhaps no superior. She was a very affectionate mother, a kind mistress and a good neighbor. She had been a regular and consistent member of the Presbyterian Church for more than twenty years. She died in the full triumph of a living faith. Her end was peace.
