Ruth G. Anderson
Ruth G. Anderson Ruth G. Anderson of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013. She was the wife of the late William D. Anderson. Born in Charlotte County February 28, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Hunter Marshall Green and Alice Dunn Green. Ruth attended Marshall Lodge Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Lynchburg and served as a nurse for several years. Over the years her activities included outdoor projects, gardening, travel, and other events with her many friends. Ruth is survived by a son, William D. Anderson Jr. and his wife, Mary Jane; a daughter, Gay Zechini and her husband, Richard; five grandchildren, Scott Zechini, Rick Zechini, David Tolle, Jeff Anderson, John Anderson; and seven great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6 until 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to new Hope United Methodist Church, 6101 Scuffletown Road, Randolph, Virginia, Virginia 23962.
