Bonnie Anderson December 17, 1942 - January 8, 2010 DALLAS - Bonnie, age 67, died in her home after a long illness with her husband Dennis and daughter Michelle at her side. Bonnie was born in Minot, North Dakota to Chester and Gladys Amundson. She and her family moved to Salem in 1953 where she attended Bush School, Leslie Junior High, and graduated from South Salem High in 1960. After high school she married Dennis Anderson in 1961. Dennis worked for the Bureau of Reclamation and Bureau of Land Management. They transferred several times with Dennis' job locating in Boise, Idaho, Reno, Nevada, Washington D.C and Denver, Colorado. Upon Dennis' retirement in 1995, they moved to North, Dakota to care for Bonnie's mother. After her death in 2006, she and Dennis relocated back to Oregon. While living in North, Dakota, Bonnie was very active with volunteer work. She was the treasurer of the local senior citizens center and spent countless hours decorating and helping Dennis with remodeling jobs. She was a very talented interior decorator and crafter. She enjoyed gardening, camping and travel. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Michelle (Terry) Webb of Reno, Nevada, Cynthia Byington of Burleson, Texas, Darren Anderson of Reno, Nevada; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Don Amundson of California, Marilyn (Dan) Gilday of Arizona, Beverly Boechler of North Dakota, Janice (Richard) Epplett of Utah, Carol Ashcraft of California and Blaine Amundson of Georgia. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Bartosh; father, Chester Amundson; and brother, Dale Amundson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15 at Restlawn Memory Gardens, 201 Oak Grove Road N.W., Salem. Donations may be made to the or Willamette Valley Hospice. Arrangements are by Restlawn Funeral Services.
