They had two children: Joseph David Anderson (1892–1978) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Harry Milton Anderson (1894-1980) of Detroit, Michigan. William resided in Saltville, Virginia. He died 24 Oct 1949 in Newbern, Pulaski, Virginia, USA while shoveling snow to make a path to a well across the street from the house.
