---Amelia Augusta Anderson was born in Linkoping, Sweden on September 22, 1845, died at La Plata on September 20, 1921, being at the time of her death, seventy-five years, eleven months and twenty-nine days.
---She was married to John Ackenbom in 1876. To this union were born three children, Otto of La Plata, Ella, the wife of C.W. Marple, who died October 24, 1908, and Hugo, who died April 1 of the same year. Her husband preceded her in death last July.
---She leaves behind, the one son, Otto, and one brother, Carl, who resides in Sweden, and nine grandchildren.
---She was brought up in the faith of the Swedish Luthern Church having been confirmed when she was 15. She remained a member of this religious organization and confirmed her life to the principles of the Christian Religion as in a general way was expressed.
---Mrs. Ackenbom came to America in the fall of 1881. The husband had preceded her by several months. She showed her great courage and devotion to her family in that she was willing to brave the unknown sea by crossing the Atlantic Ocean alone with her two little children.
---Funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian Church, Thursday, September 22, at 2 p.m., Rev. E.E. DeLong, pastor of the family, officiating. Interment in the La Plata cemetery.
