Place of birth is from the 1865 and 1875 New York State censuses. Month of birth is from the 1900 US census.
Greenwood Cemetery records indicate that Emma was buried on 12 May 1909. Her entry is located in the appropriate chronological place to support this date of burial.
The 1900 US census indicates that Emma was the mother of 7 children, of whom 2 were living at that time. Son Henry was living in 1900, although several online family trees indicate that he died in or about 1884.
Son William may be Will Adams. The date of birth shown on Will's marker is the same as that given for William in several online family trees, none of which have a date of death for him.
Other children shown in online family trees are Catherine, abt 1857-1889; Edward, 1867-1897; May, 1871-1871; and Bert, 1876-1877. If all of these children and dates of death are correct, Henry was the only child still living in 1900, and Emma's statement that two of her children were living was incorrect, unless Will Adams is not her son William. The dates of death given in these online family trees for Catherine, May, and Bert, predate the oldest extant records for Greenwood Cemetery, so, if they were buried in Greenwood, the only evidence would be a marker. No markers with these names were found when a reading of the cemetery was done in 1985-1990, and none were found in 2015 when the cemetery was photographed. Neither are there either records of a burial, or a marker, for an Edward Adams.
