Mrs. Irma Whitworth Abercrombie, 110 Argyle Circle, died Saturday, after several months illness in a Houston, Texas hospital.

Survivors are daughters, Mrs. John H. Edwards, Huntsville, Mrs. Jack L. Brooks, Silver Spring, Md and Mrs. George V. Lester, Houston, Texas and eight grandchildren.

Funeral service will be tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler chapel with burial in Forrest cemetery.

Mrs. Abercrombie was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County.

She was the daughter of the late W.A. Whitworth and Beulah Morris Whitworth and the wife of the late Fred B. Abercrombie.

Mrs. Abercrombie was a member of First Baptist Church and very active in church activities. She was a retired school teacher, having been associated with the Gadsden City Board of Education for over 10 years.
