James was an old and respected farmer of Amanda Twp, residing
about 8 miles west of this city. He died last evening after suffering for 5 months from an attack of Paralysis. He was 64 yrs, 11 months and 12 days and born in Holmes Co, Ohio. The funeral will be held from the M.E. Church, the cortege leaving from the late residence at 9 a.m. for the Allentown Cemetery. Lima News (Lima Ohio June 14, 1898)
