Married Samuel Easterday 1926. Moved to Hill Air Force Base, Ogden Utah for defense work during World War II.
Uncle Sam Easterday and Thelma bought a small home in Milan, Missouri. After Sam's death, their young daughter, Phyllis enrolled in Missouri Baptist St. Louis Nursing School to complete RN training. Thelma sold the home in Milan and worked in a retail store in St. Louis to provide a home for Phyllis during nurses' training.
Thelma had a happy second marriage to Sydney Baker into the time when her health failed.
