Heather was killed in a car accident by a man driving the wrong way on the interstate. The Washington State Patrol says Marco DeLamora was driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes of I-82 near Badger Road around 8:45 PM when he hit a car with a family of three inside. Heather and 30 year old Stephen Metzger of Kennewick were both killed. A 3 year old toddler in the back seat of the car was taken to Kadlec in Richland then later taken to Sacred Heart in Spokane. The toddler is listed in satisfactory condition as of Monday morning. DeLamora's pick-up caught fire right after the crash and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he had been driving the wrong way for a few miles before the crash happened. A total of 5 vehicles in all were involved in the crash, and the highway was closed for about 5 hours. Troopers are still investigating why the man was driving the wrong way. Heather was 27-years-old and was from Richland.
