OBITUARY
ADAM, J. R.
Of Mesquite. Born October 28, 1923 to Tom & Ena Adam and passed away June 1, 2005 in Dallas. J.R. was a man whom all loved. A proud veteran of WWII, he served on the USS Quailback submarine in the Pacific Theater. He then served the community as lifetime member of Hella Shrine Temple where he loved helping children. Aside from being an outstanding bowler he earned the saleman of the year at Briggs/Weaver where he retired after 38 years, and was a free hearted man who was loved by all. J.R. is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Juanita Adam; son, Jack Adam & Carol; grandsons, Mike & James Adam; granddaughter, Deann Martin; greatgrandchildren: Brooke Adam, Michael Adam, Blake Adam, Maddie Adam, Bailee Womack & Hayden Womack; brother, Dan Adam; brothers-in-law, Bobby Ward, John Ward, G. C. Ward & W.T. Ward; sister-in-law, Mary Celsur and other family & friends. Visitation is 11a.m.-9p.m.Friday, June 3, 2005 at the funeral home with family receiving friends 6-8p.m. Funeral services are 2:00p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Horton officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.
