Ralph served our country in the United States Army and was on active duty in Germany for several years immediately following the Korean War. After returning home from his service, he went back to his job at IBM Corporation, where he worked for 34 years.
In his retirement, Ralph was an avid card player and enjoyed poker night with his friends for many years. He also enjoyed going to the casino with his wife, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. His favorite pastimes were to do crossword puzzles and word jumbles with his wife. He was also an avid mystery/thriller reader, reading a book every few days. Ralph also spent a lot of time at his daughter's house doing various home repairs and helping out whenever he could.
He greatly missed his wife, Viola, after she passed away, and is now reunited for eternity in heaven with his one true love.
Visitation will be held at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main St., Highland, NY, on Friday, September 8 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Highland Cemetery, Rt. 44/55 Vineyard Avenue in Highland.
