Yolanda grew up in Brooklyn, where she worked in her family-owned bakery. On October 17, 1948, she married Leonard Bellacicco of Highland, NY at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Brooklyn.
Yolanda's life revolved around her family. After marrying Leonard, she moved to Highland, where they raised their family. Yolanda's greatest pleasure in life was cooking and baking for her loved ones.
Yolanda is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Leonard; her sons, John (Kathy) Bellacicco and Robert (Anna) Bellacicco; her daughters, Carol Ann (Harold) Maybaum and Noreen (Leonard) Centonze. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Eric Maybaum, Alyssa (Benedetto) D'Alto, John Centonze, Christopher Bellacicco, Andrew Bellacicco, Michael Bellacicco and Daniel Bellacicco; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Ella and Aurora; and many nieces and nephews.
Yolanda was predeceased by her parents, Settimo and Calogera; her siblings, Francesco, Joseph, John, Hugo and Victor Giannone; and her sisters, Concetta Newsome, Rosalie Sparacio and Olga Buongiovanni.
Calling hours will be Monday, September 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main Street, Highland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Highland. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
