Evalyn Anderson, 97, of Providence and formerly of Evansville, Indiana, died
January 22 at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Providence and the Ladies
Auxiliary of the VFW in Evansville.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bud and Tom Cates.
Survivors include two grandsons, Reggie Cates and Sam Cates, both of Evansville
and a granddaughter, Carol Faulkner; three great-grandchildren, Carter Cates
and Steven and Shelby Faulkner.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10:00 o'clock from Melton Funeral Home
with Rev. Barry Cullen and Rev. Alan McCutchen officiating.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence. **
