Paul became the husband of Mary Delaney Ervin, daughter of Mary Belle Delaney and Delbert D. Ervin, of Charleston Arkansas. The couple met when Mary was a student at the University of Arkansas. After their marriage, Paul and Mary moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they made their home. They later moved to Broken Arrow.
Paul was a pipe fitter and labor union member. Mary was an electrician and labor union member. They attended the Methodist church near their home. Paul was an avid collector of rare and unique cars and guns, and a loving father who adored his children.
