Violet was a daughter of George Bayless and Amelia Renfro, who married 3 April 1797, likely in Washington County, Tennessee. She is sister to known brothers Reese; George P.; John Price; and Daniel Bayless. Her mother, Amelia, was last enumerated in the census of 1850 as a member of Reese Bayless' Macoupin County, Illinois, household, age 71 born Virginia.
Violet was married 17 Jan 1823 in Washington County, Tennessee, to Samuel Waddell. Violet and Samuel were enumerated in the 1850 census in Georgia, and the 1860 census in Macoupin County, Illinois. Violet is not found in census records after 1860. Pending further research, I will use 1868 as her death date as found; no burial location has been found, but it is likely she was buried in or near Macoupin County, Illinois.
