ARNEY FRANKLIN J. Age 81, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Franklin was born and raised in Dearborn Township, MI. Franklin attended Arizona State University. He also served in the US Army in El Paso, Texas. Franklin was a developer of Manufactured Housing Communities. He also owned and operated a fine dining establishment called the Boar's Head Inn. In later years, he also developed a hunting preserve in Mio, Michigan, called Cherry Creek Farms. Franklin was an avid golfer and a life member at Dearborn Country Club. He also was Club Champion at Pipers Landing Country Club in Stewart, Florida. Franklin's love of the outdoors led him to hunting and fishing excursions in Alaska, Colorado, New Foundland, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Franklin was the son of Alpha J. and Irene Arney and brother to Donald W. Arney. He will be greatly missed by his soul mate and wife Patricia of 60 years, his two sons, Mark and Jay, daughter Terri and his three grandchildren, Jason, Travis, and Taylor. Family and friends are invited to the Dearborn Country Club from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2012 for the celebration of the life of Franklin J. Arney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TheWoundedWarriorProject.org .
