Georgetown Native Dies After Illness
Mrs. Zina Ruth Hayes Armatage, 79, of Montpelier, died Tuesday in Nampa of a lingering illness at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence J (Ruth) Adams. Mrs. Armatage moved from Georgetown to Montpelier in 1943.
The daughter of Alma and Louisa Sheffield Hayes, she was born July 10, 1883 at Georgetown.
She married Samuel R. Armatage, March 25, 1902, at Paris and the ceremony was later solemnized in the LDS Temple at Logan.
Mr. Armatage died September 19, 1917. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Louise.
Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Lester G. Armatage and Wilford R Armatage, both of Montpelier, Mrs. Adams of Nampa, and Ernest S. Armatage of Pocatello; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one brother, Wilford Hayes and a sister, Mrs. Lott Payne, both of Georgetown, and several half-sisters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Montpelier LDS Second Ward Chapel and interment will be in the Georgetown cemetery. Friends may call at the Matthews
Mortuary chapel, Friday evening, and Saturday prior to services.
