Charlie Bardoner, aged 63, one of the well known and respected farmers of Otter Creek Township, suffered a stroke of paralysis Saturday evening and passed away at 2:30 Sunday morning. Mr. Bardoner was a familiar figure in Center Point, where he had many long-time acquaintances and friends.

Charles T. Bardoner was born on December 28, 1870 in Earlville, Illinois and came to Iowa in 1891. In 1893 he was united in marriage with Iva E. Parsons. To this union six children were born, Mrs. Roy Jones and Mrs. Kenneth Wagner of Center Point; Leslie Bardoner of Alburnett; Mrs. O. H. Pieper of Hawkeye, IA; Mrs. Clyde Tallman of Phoenix, Arizona; one child dying in infancy. There are also seven grandchildren, two brothers and five sisters.

Mr. Bardoner was united in marriage with Lillie B. Metcalf on June 15, 1927 at Towner, ND who still survives him.

Mr. Bardoner was a prominent farmer, which occupation he had followed all his life. He was a good neighbor and a host of friends are saddened at his departure.

Funeral services were conducted by Elder W. C. Wilson at the church in Lafayette Tuesday afternoon with burial in the Lafayette cemetery.
