s/o W. & S. Cameron.

Charles was possible named after nationally renowned Methodist Minister Henry Clay Dean that traveled in and around southern Iowa in the mid 1800s and critic of the Civil War.

Charlie married Libbie Sawdon in 1880 and they were blessed with one son, Robert M Cameron b1882. The Cameron family traveled back and forth between Wever, Iowa (southeast of Augusta by 4 miles) and Morning Sun, home of his older brother David R Cameron.

Charles was the first child of Wm and Catherine Cameron to pass away as an adult. After Charles' death in 1886, Libbie became the administrator of his estate. When the estate of Charles was closed, Libbie and young Robert moved west to Farmington, Van Buren County Iowa.

On February 8, 1888 Libbie married Frank W Joans in Farmington. Frank was born in 1862 in Ohio. The Joans moved to Texas and Colorado before settling in Pocatello, Idaho. Libbie died on December 6, 1928.

Possible records of Charles' son Robert M Cameron could be in the 1910 Federal Census in Omaha where he was selling ladies suits. In 1920 there is a Robert M Cameron in Los Angles, California, but it is not known if this would be Charles and Libbie's son.
