Ella Elizabeth Markel was the 2nd daughter born of James T Markel and Matilda "Tildy" Ann Chun. Her sisters were Ida A (Markel) Cato; Lillie Bell (Markel) McGuffin Sanford and Lea Oma (Markel) Pearson. She married Grover Cleveland Sullivan on 24 Nov 1904 in ILL. Grover and his brothers were employed by and followed the railroad to Oklahoma by 1907, then to Ft Smith AR, back to Tulsa Ok, and by 1930 she and her family settled in Van Nuys, CA where her husband became a civil engineer during WWII. Ella died 4 Sep 1960, and was buried on the 7th at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, CA
