Ruby Fern Sullivan was the 5th child born to Grover Cleveland Sullivan and Ella Elizabeth Markel. She was born in Missouri while her father worked for the railroad. Her family moved permanently to Los Angeles about 1930 where she attended Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, graduating in 1933. She married William Perry Hamilton on 17 Feb 1934 in Yuma, AZ, witnessed by her mother Ella E. Sullivan and brother Lionel Dennis "Dink" Sullivan. She died in 1936 at age 20 and was buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
